Well I'll be....4.8 gone from Nissan's line-up

Just checking out the Nissan site to see if there was any more news on the new Patrol and noticed the TB48 was gone from the Y61 engine lineup!

Is it true? Only leaves the 3.0l.
Have they got something up their sleeve...I hope so

Nissan are probable smart enough 2 know, that in a few years time no one is going 2 be able 2 afford fuel for a 4.8

I'm hoping they bring out the V6 3.0 diesel that's in the Navara currently.
I'm going to be towing 2.5t soon and the 170kw and 550nM would come in very handy :)

If Nissan do end up putting the V9X V6 in the new Patrol don't be surprised if it appears with twin turbo's to boost it's output above the current Navara/Pathfinder spec engine.

I'm just hoping there will be a good engine option for the current Y61 GU. a big HP thumping diesel....hmmmm I want one one NOW!

been watching the dakar... the nissan "pickup" looks like what they call a navara here, so would that have the V9X engine? i wonder what mods they have done to it? maybe already a twin turbo set up?
