View Full Version : One air cleaner or two??

Just looking inside the engine bay before and thinking that induction has a lot of piping to get through before the air gets to the engine.

I have two air cleaners there and one is taking the space where an intercooler could go.

Is one Real Good air cleaner gonna do the job of the two as far as cleaning out crap from the air when hitting the dirt and dust?

I know one would flow better as opposed to two!

Looks nice I think I've seen a pic of that in a car somewhere. Have you got one?

Do they run the standard GQ filter? I have a K&N at the moment plus the standard air restriction device.

Hi wojtech,

I have a PatrolDocta ZD30 Air Box, it takes the same air fliter as a genuine Nissan ZD30, it's an easy install and works great

That does look pretty built for it!! I was just gonna run the standard Steel Can and remove the other air cleaner that sits on top of the rocker cover.
Down the track i was looking a fabricating something like that ZD30 box, but now I spose I need to weigh up the cost and time of construction as opposed to just buying one.
