In my search for the correct Torque and fastening Sequence of the head bolts I ended up in a 'jungle' of snippets of info all over the web.
So I created this all-in-one cheat sheet.
The data comes from a head bolt supplier.
I added a graphic showing the final torque angle of 74 degrees. Cut it out and paste to a piece of cardboard or metal.
Redesigned it all in an easy format.

Stuff like this would be useful to save somewhere on the forum for future users to find easily. Is that possible?

LandRoverGhost - good on you, you have been making some useful posts recently.

Maybe start a Sticky Thread: TD42 facts, figures and helpful hints. Like I did for the RB30.

Good to clean out the threads in the block with a thread tap if you've got one. Surprising how cruddy they get.
Remember to make sure there is nothing (grease. oil, crud, gasket debris) in the bottom of the head bolt thread holes.
Then lube up the head bolts and washers with a bit of gear oil before fitting.

Re-torque (one at a time) after a few thousand k's when you adjust the tappets.

Certainly important - I used an old head bolt , grinded flat a bit on one side.
