Hi all - I've got 4 kids under 9, and they are all in car seats. Looking to buy a Y62 to replace the Ford Terry which currently pulls our hard floor camper ~ 2300kg. I'm thinking an additional pair of anchor points in the third row, maybe to carry 3 in the third and 1 in the middle, or at least 2 and 2.

Has anyone had experience installing additional anchor points on a Y62, or a crab on a Y62?

Cheers

G’day Nunezm Mate,
If this website link found below is anything to go by it looks like 3 & 1 is the Nissan OEM configuration:

https://babydrive.com.au/reviews/suvs/2019-nissan-y62-patrol-armada/

“There are three top tether anchorages in the Nissan Patrol; one on the back of each of the second-row seat backs and one in the third-row seat back on the driver's side”

It does also make mention of the third row being extremely tight for legroom on the 4th seat and I wonder if an aftermarket crab bar possibly isn’t legal as access through the rear door to ones 4th child would be quite tricky with one in the way maybe?

Also from that site...

"NOTE: We've updated this review as officially the Y62 Patrol only has three top tether anchorages for installing child seats (two in the second row and one in the third row)."

Which is why I want 3 anchors in the 3rd row and and use one in the 2nd leaving enough space for ingress through the 2nd row by leaving a seat folded down.

All Good Nunezm Mate, Do Understand [emoji106][emoji106]
FWIW: My two year old outgrew her rear cab legroom in the McAvatar picture GU Langley X-Cab Custom within 1 week, give or take a couple of weeks joking with good protein [emoji123][emoji123]
