suspension lift/swaybars

Hi guys Poopsie here,on my 2016 ls3 patrol ,due to the two inch lift the sway bars are lifted as well.Does this cause handling problems on highway or is it only a problem off road.Obviosly I can fit longer links if I should.

Ideally the sway bars should sit flat to work perfectly in all situations

Yeah as above mate. The arms should be flat and horizontal so your linkages should be the right length to set them up flat. This allows full flex in both directions. I have found rhe factory linkages to be pretty average and I have broken more than my fair share.

Superior Engineering make a Superflex arm which has longer arms that seem to work great and a good option for the front of a Patrol.

FWIW: Had to purchase recently the Superior Super Flex front (drop down version) for my bent OEM GQ swaybar replacement that was linkage extended to suit a basic 2” lift.
Quite amazed at how on & off road the old ute felt flippantly different than usual being bent upwards slightly underneath with extended lift links still set perfectly level and in working order.
Telltale only slightly bent OEM for me was viewing a mates video and snippeting last year of the old ute retarding front flex.

Severe witness marks once outa the tracks were found on the front tail shaft due to OEM sway bar slight damage comparisons and ‘high clearance’ ‘Blackhawk-Roadsafe’ aftermarket radius arms that probably should IMHO recommend sway bar modifications too within their purchase advice but not in their stable as yet [emoji848]

I've been suggested upgrading this magic superior sway setup several times.
Most notably when I fitted up the superior Panhard rod.

Is this what I'm looking at ? And is this mostly self plug and play, bolt off bolt on kind of install ?

Yes mate. those chassis plates bolt onto the side of the chassis using existing factory captured nuts. I bought a front one off Nicco when he stripped his GU and fitted it to Rufus. I didnt get to use it in anger but the quality was great and the extended arms make a lot of sense. matfew now owns Rufus and may comment. Good kit i reckon.. If i was ever going to put sway bars back on the GQ t would be those.
