2000 ZD30DDI Hesitant acceleration

Hi,
I have an issue that when i put my foot down there is about a 1-2 second delay like a slow response to the acceleration.
This is when in park or any gear.
It drives fine etc but just the first acceleration. Like when i stop at an intersection, i cant just put my foot down to cross as it take a second to respond. Its really annoying, hopefully someone can help.

Might be the TPS on the pedal. Have a google around on how to clean the contacts out as its a sealed unit. From memory you drill a small hole in the TPS, not sure exactly where though, and spray contact cleaner in it to clean the contacts up.
