Not sure how to portray this. Timber is my hobby as most of you know. Here is some wood I milled up by hand for my daughter's bed. http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2021/10/66.jpg

Back in the day, nineteen seventies, I used to mechanic on these two speedway cars. Along with camping and fishing motorsport was another hobby. Never raced these vehicles as I raced Go karts for some thirty years,(yes another hobby)
These two cars were race at Rowley Park every Friday night during the season and also all over the country.
Just a couple of deals . Race Friday night at the park (Adelaide) load up around midnight head to Sydney, race at the Show grounds Saturday night and back to Adelaide for work Monday.
The Missus and I drove the rig over and back and the driver,Doug Sunstrom Flew in and out.
Another gig was the Easter Stampede . Thursday night Rowley Park (no racing on good Friday) Mount Gambier Saturday night.
Ballarat Sunday afternoon , Warrnambool Sunday night and back home ready for work Tuesday.
Fantastic memories84451

Being in lockdown now for over 250 days I have spent pretty much most weekends completely fixing my old cottage house and property up.

The house was pretty rough but it has now completely changed.

It has kept me somewhat sane over the last 2 years but its looking awesome now!

1ST photo, a nice sunset looking over a cleaned up property.

and 3RD...

I thought this was interesting.

Found some old termite activity in some studs on one side of the house.

Thought it was interesting the way they ate around the knot.

Entry three.
Back in the day, around nineteen sixty eight. I had pole position for the first one hour endurance race for go karts around the Mallala race track. If I remember there were something like seventy starters in four different classes. We reached speeds of around one hundred Ks plus. Pit stops for fuel and repairs were also included. The kart I`m in I built myself, the motor was a Mc nine, one hundred cc, race engine, it used to spin at around a max of thirteen thousand RPM. The chassis behind me in the photo is an American Bug lay-down , it possibly was running side mounted fuel tanks,so no pit stops. Was laying in third position in class when I broke a throttle cable and had a longish pit stop so finished way down the class. Pit crew in the photo is my old man.84464
Fortunately I have been able to retrieve the chassis and hopefully will be able to do a restoration

Nice topic Hodge [emoji106]

1st entry.

Haven't purchased any of late as any extra funds are going towards the patrol (couple extra cylinder fund).
Pretty much have the ones I want, but then there's the ones that just look good and there's still more room in the cabinet..

The wagon in the middle is a Jim Beam tubbed and tunnel rammed.http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2021/10/71.jpg
