Hi All:

New to forum, as kindly reminded, i posted question prior to this intro, have recently purchased a 2001 GU 4.2 DX ute, needs a bit of work, have a few plans, flippin thing started to lose power after a couple weeks, tried all the tips on here, nothing was working, brother is mechanic, tried several things he mentioned, checked for the fine filter at inlet to injection pump didnt think any thing was there, nothing worked was about to rip the injector pump out yesterday, just thought i'd have another quick look on here before pulling out and found a thread relating to loss of power with a couple of pic's, so thought i'd look agine for that small filter on the inlet bajo gee it's a fair bit down, blew a bit of air in to remove fuel and to my amazment out it popped, and sure enough it was blocked up, hit it with a bit carb cleaner and air, reinstalled and away she went -----powering again. now just need to fix an oil leak, so to all G'day and look forward to communicating in the future.

Another ute owner - Gutey. lol

Welcome aboard.

Sorry, I can't help you. The only thing I know how to do, is to change a light bulb.

Take care out there.
