Hi all, am new here. Have owned my Nissan Patrol 1994 since 2004. Have recently been doing some minor maintenance jobs on my vehicle myself.

Have just received my driver side door mirror, to replace faulty mirror. I now have a problem with the male/female connections do not match the existing one.

The connection I am holding (in the first photo) coming down off the old mirror (female connection) does not match the male connection that comes off the new mirror (in the second photo).

Cannot anyone advise what to do? Do I need to go to a mechanic, or is there an easy solution that I can do (whithout having to cut the wires)?

So on the body of the car is a male plug, the old mirror had a female plug and the new mirror has a male plug, is that correct?
Therefore you can't plug the new mirrors male plug into the body male plug?

If that's the case, I think you'll have to cut the male plug off the new mirror, cut the female plug off the old mirror and solder the wires to the old female plug.

Both connector female? Better cut the old one to the.new one as mentioned b4 or get some copper or metal can fit tight in both female connector and join them together without any space then wrap them with electric tape
