There are bolt in kits available for GQ's which include a medium or long range after market fuel tanks thats fitted under the drivers side to make way for a gas tank which then sits in place of the original fuel thank.

All this information is available from your local auto gas fitter which I strongly recommend you go see about doing the conversion if thats the path you chose to take.

I hope this helps.

What engine cobber... RB30, TB Carby or TB EFI

I had an EFI on gas and it was excellent. Most conversions include the long range Aux and replace the standard tank with LPG tank.

My only criticism was the lack of LPG outlets when out bush here in WA so I had to carry Petrol Jerries or if you did find some it was 90 to $1.00 a litre. If you don't go waaay off the beaten track then LPG is quite a good option for the EFI's IMHO

Gas might be exxy , but the fuel consumption of a TB42 is absolutely ridiculous.....
20-25 LPH , is worse than a fully worked V8.....
LPG conversion can have a government subsidy towards fitment
Best consult an accredited LPG specialist as theres a few LPG versions for the GQ

I could of got free lpg tanks for mine, just needed to pay freight from QLD to Sydney and Installation but decided against it due to how much gas has gone up. Don't be 2 suprised that the cost of lpg doesn't match petrol in another year or so

89 cents/ litre here. On the highway it only works out a tiny bit cheaper to run gas when just cruising but as soon as I put the foot down a bit on country roads or 4wding it's probably equal cost to petrol

tappin it

Looks like I got him then, as for the paid bit, all moderators get paid didn't Andy mention that.....LOL.
Seriously if anyone thinks that the moderators get paid well we do not, we all do it for the love of our site....it is the least we can do for Andy who created this and brought so many people together.
