Hello everyone! Greetings from Barcelona ;)
Its been a couple of years I've owned a 1990 Nissan Patrol k260 2.8TD pretty well prepared. Currently it has 33x12.5 R15 tires, +5 cm bodylift, front and rear defenses, oversized radiator, 6th cilinder refrigeration, electrofans, VGT, opened fuel pump and a couple extra sweets.
I've been doing offroading with it since I purchased it and I'm absolutely in LOVE with it! The patrol works wonders, climbs everywhere I want and goes through any obstacle so far. And its tough as hell. Didn't have to do any major reparation, which is amazing given the stress the car is under when offroading :P
Currently I'm wondering on increasing the tire size to 35x12.5, reduce the differential ratio (set relation to 5.14 [same as atmospheric] so with the 35s runs in an simmilar OEM relation), add a rear diff lock and swap the leafspring suspension to springs. Been wondering this upgrades for some time, and still thinking of it. I'm sure I'm keeping this car until it gets totaled, so I think I'm comfortable spending the money to leave it """finished""" :)
The reason I found and joined this forum is the manuals. I want to redo the whole electric system of the car which is in a really poor condition. Previous owner didin't really know much about electricity and did some disasters under the hood :D So now I have an upcoming week of vacation I'm gathering all the info I can regarding the electric systems in order to purchase the materials and tools needed, and hopefully do the whole electrics during vacation. Whish me luck! :P
