GU s1-3 wagon side steps on a S4 Ute?

G’day all, just wondering if side steps from a series 1-3 GU wagon would fit onto a S4 Ute, with leaf spring rear

The factory s1-s3 wagon side steps bolt to captive fittings front and rear on the underside of the body, not the chassis.
I doubt the ute body would extend back far enough...
