Hi guys and gals ... I bought a 2000 Y61 Auto 4.5l Patrol wagon about two years ago. Have been modifying it with the usual add-ons.
Problem now is, it has reached its GVM max. Went down to the local Pedders to upgrade the GVM, they said sure but have to check with the engineer who signs it off.
He told me that the Approval Number 12845 on the Patrol's compliance plate doesn't match my car .. and that the number is actually a Toyota number.
The number should be 12482 :( . This number has been used with Patrols from 1999 - 2015.
The RVCS website gives information about the number. Every imported car into Aust needs an Approval No. to say it meets the Aust standards to drive on the road.
Has anyone else had issues with the Approval No. being wrong and how did you get it fixed up.:thumbup:
