I'm on the hunt for a steering wheel for my series 1 GU. My current leather wheel is showing its age, will any wheel fit or do I need a series 1-3.http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2021/07/38.jpg

I run a GUIV black leather wheel in my GUII, but the clock springs were different so I had to graft the two clock springs together, as one to make it work. And work it does. You could get the leather redone on the wheel. Not sure of cost though.

Problem is I need to drive it daily, but still I'll look into getting it redone. Trying to find a good second hand one might cost me the same as a redo.

From memory it was circa $600 to get the wheel wrapped in new leather. From memory as it was six years ago. When I had mine done they reconditioned the leather and repainted it. came up like brand new. But I think yours is beyond this point and would need to be recovered. Time to use the Commy mate and get take the steering wheel off the Patrol for some lovin'.

Happy to swap you our custom 2001 wagon wheel John if you’re keen Mate?
It has a perfect wrist bitten divot exactly where your wear marks are too although was created by an artistic Clydesdale that I’m still picking through poo patties looking for half the snorkel and indicator lenses too [emoji23]
Other than that, a fair swap I says [emoji23][emoji106][emoji106]

Yeah quick search and that's about the going price. Patrol a part $695 with 200 back. Mines stuffed, ever since my eldest got his learners he picked a hole and it just go worse.
Commy is a no go as a daily for the moment, leaks everywhere. Motor and box both getting plugged and freshen up when it goes in for paint.
