HI.
'02 GU 3ltr 160k kms.. D'Tronic. Snorkel. EGR Plated. Exhaust. (2 1\2 in tuned)

Since EGR plated.
I have a flat spot on throttle.

When I'm travelling at around 2 to 2 1'2 thou rev's for a while,. Then accelerate.
Nothing happens. I have to release the throttle and re'press it. to go

Not too bad when driving on flat. But on hills. and when towing my 3 ton van or boat.
There's a hell of a bang\snatch on the drive train as I go off and on.

Any idea's anybody??.
DC's Wksp foreman "says" He's never heard of it b4.

Hi macka17,

Welcome to the forum.

Do you have a boost gauge fitted?

It sounds like it might be over boosting and going into over boost fail safe mode. (due to the bigger exhaust and EGR blocked).

Cheers Rodney

Hi.

No Guage.

Do I adjust the boost with that screw on side of Turbo??.
Or do I need a Guage to read it first.

Fit gauges before you do anything else.

Hi Macka,

You need to know what the boost is to be able to adjust it correctly.

My personal opinion, especially with the engine performance mods you have fitted D'Tronic. EGR Plated. Exhaust. (2 1\2 in tuned).

You need to have a boost and pyro gauge fitted.

If it was my truck, I would unblock the EGR until I have both gauges fitted.

After the gauges are installed you can then block off the EGR and adjust the boost via the screw at the turbo or even better fit a dawes and needle valve.

Have a read of this thread, there is some great information in it (Thanks Tony)
