Heads up on a great bargain.

I got this from another forum and going in today to buy mine.

Repco in Victoria has a special this month (last catalogue finished yesterday but will honour this month)

Icom 400pro UHF radios (top fo the range as far as i am concerned) down from $490 to $420. Nice little discount you say... ;)

Well if you go and put your RACV card on the counter this month you get a further 20% off that price!!

A brand new Icom 400 Pro for $336 drive away.
I recon i would get better than that on ebay. i should buy a few and make a bit of cash ;)

Everyone in other states give your local REPCO a call and see if they are honouring the same discounts for this month.

I am in the market and will be buying one today. If you are thinking of grabbing a UHF in the very near future or yours is tired then this IS the BEST you will ever see these for!! They are reprogrammable for 25W with the right software too ;)

Is it compatable with the new 80channel system that is being introduced?
I have no idea what the new system will do to the 40channel we use now.
Just a thought that may be the reason behind the discounting.
