Have purchased a long range fuel tank for the snotbox (Ti)
It will not fit, for love nor money.. Thought it may of been ute tank.. Bought another, but still wont fit.. WHY ???
It's hitting the rear control arm bush bracket...

TI should be no different. The tank should fit up against the control arm bracket but it shouldn't stop it fitting.

Sorry Kat, but is it a long range tank (that goes behind the rear axle) or a 72 litre sub that sits down the drivers side in front of the rear axle? Just looks a bit different to the long range tank I'm looking at currently for mine (Ti) but does appear similar from the section I can see to the current 72 litre tank I have (in front of the axle).

Sorry, Scotty. It is a sub tank.. that goes on drivers side..
Thanks, Tony but it will NOT go past that bracket.. no matter how big the hammer !!
Bracket hits fuel tank sender..

I'll got a 120 ltr long rage that sits up under the drivers side Bigrig so she may have one of them.

Ahhh ... no worries mate - maybe I should look into one of them also!! Nothing like having 260 litres on board (won't weigh much .. will it? lol).

Dont know what size, Patch.. Is the sender in same spot ? Looked at Brother-in- laws Ti and his sender was in different spot.

You don't have to have it fall all the time but you will thank yourself for having it when your way out bush.

You cant see the sender in mine with the tank fitted so I can't help with that one (wish I could though as the sh1tty things stop working properly)

I don't see how this could be different from TI to any other GQ as they all have the same body.

Was just a thought... but does the Ti have the extra stabilizing bar thingy?
But the sender may be in a different place, as B_I_L was.
Some tanks we looked at, sender is recessed in tank or in abox.. These ones are not....

Without pulling my tank out the recessed sender makes sense to me cause there is sweet FA clearance at the top.

Crisis averted.
For future reference to anyone else,
Jack up the body and it will give you the extra room you need. ( duh)

When are we going to see a members ride thread for the Snotbox Kat?

How are you plumbing the tank in, will it pump into the main tank like a GU?

Oh, and anyone have a ECU for a Q ?
Thanks.

That's what Paul and I are thinking at the moment. Wolf do a plug in kit for GQ so we can have a fully programmable ECU without having to do any rewiring. I still need to investigate other brands.
