Gday blokes & blokettes, chasing a bit of information on coils and shocks for my q bus
currently i’m running 4” ome foam cell shocks, unsure of travel length. i’d assume between 8-10”, and 3” dobbo coils.the fronts are 60kg rated, (steel bar, dual batteries, bigger turbo, intercooler etc) while the rears are 100kg. the car handles very well on road and off road, although i’ve come to find it’s definitely a lot more bumpy than all my mates cars.
i’d easy have 85-100k of shit in the back, rear bar, swingaway with a 35, steel draw full of power tools, pelican box with other various tools and a sub. i was thinking shocks might be a possible cause as they are very old, but i can drive over roundabouts or curbs like absolutely nothing then come the usual bumps on the blacktop it feels like i’m riding a huffy slider.
i’m looking to replace my shocks in the near future but unsure if i should change my coils to something like a 4” no load?
