Gday, I just inherited my brothers Maroon GQ wagon High roof patrol. Shes had a hard life already but..........its got a BIG fn sun roof!!!!! He has done a truckload of work on it and I reckon its still a damn tough ol unit. Not its mine I want to give it some lovin and make her a sound family tourer.
Tough dog HD shocks, Safari snorkle, Extractors 2.5" sports exhaust, 150 lt HD tank for its diesel habit, bull bar, spots, uhf, and luxury optioned interior. Even if it still smells a bit like his dog, it wont take much to make it into mine. (smell that is!)

So fellas if i wanted to replace the underbonnet insulation/sound proofing whats the best option as it is all gone to sh*T and hangin down, its gotta go!!! some one already told me clarke rubbers got an option????

Thanks,

YNOT

Sounds like your off to a might good start into 4x4 ownership with your GQ & in regards to your question: In Vic there a quite a few automotive carpet places that do after market under bonnet sound proofing mats & some auto trimmers also, so try your luck with those to recommendations to start.

Loads of info on here & a great bunch of members who are always willing to help so feel free to join in & I hope you enjoy the forum.

Cracker of a name/handle/whatever they are called in www.land!!!

My GQ has no underbonnet insulation - I don't know how much more engine noise I experience, but maybe rip it out and see if you can live with it.

Alternatively, a bit of spray glue and stick it back up again until next time it falls off
