Anyone know anything about Renogy batteries?

Their 12v100AH lifepo4 battery is lighter and shorter than most others, which makes me wonder if it really is 100AH???

For a stationary systems, no probs. There is a lot of innards that look as if vibration might take a toll.

I've been messaging them on eBay and they say if the battery were to go faulty, you contact them via eBay and it gets sorted that way.

They look quite good in the Will Prowse video, but as far as back up goes I think I'd want better than 'contact us via ebay'. (or indeed Renogy AU's contact page & 'Customer portal'). Looks like you can lodge a support ticket - but that doesn't necessarily mean much.

Looks like a gamble to me. Get a good one & you're happy. Have problems could be a very different story. If you travel then there is a reasonable chance that any failure will occur in circumstances where you will need timely back up/support.

I was dealing with an ESL (english as a second language) Renogy rep so I couldn't be bothered asking too many in depth questions.

I asked about warranty and they sent me a link to the Renogy USA site to look at the warranty, which said you had to send it to them, which I took as meaning in the USA. I questioned that and that is when I got the eBay messages answer.

I had a Supercharge battery that dropped a cell. I had to take it into a reseller for them to check it before they'd swap it. So I don't think you'd get a quick swap over for any battery. But I don't have alot of experience with failed components.
