Hi All
I'm a currently happy owner of an 1995 80 series (don't hold that against me) that's been and still is great.
But, it's getting on and i'm looking at a replacement real 4wd in the next year or so.
1 option is a 100 series TD, but asking price is crazy for an older car. Nothing else really appeals. I'm excluding 200 series due to engine issues.
Same as for Prado, but i think that is a bit small too.
Modern diesels are out due to complexity.
I have never been a Nissan fan, but having seen reviews (mainly Dash Offroad recently) i'm considering one. I went and sat in a 2018 model yesterday and was quite impressed. It's huge and luxurious (compared to the 80 :))but i can deal with that. It won't be a daily driver.
Big change in drivers position from GU model (one reason i preferred the 80) and one of the only remaining lift tailgates (although i'd prefer split tailgate) but at least its not side swing.
Sooooo, i'm here to read of others experiences with them and learn and ask questions.
Cheers
Wayne
