As the forum shirts & stubby holders have been a smashing success amongst the members, AB & myself have been discussing maybe doing forum Jackets.
So we are looking for anyone interested in one to put there hand up.
Now we will be sticking with the current artwork but we would like to know from you what type of Jackets members like to ware & in what style.
After seeing how many members are interested & what you preferred Jacket types are we will be posting up a few ideas & some costing & take it from there.
All the best

Bomber style jackets really don't keep you dry if it is raining, require something longer with a hood but they have to be water proof.

So I've put together some ideas that have been said here and agree with: Bomber style, but smart casual, warm but heat resistent as to stand around fire in, unzippable arms to double as vest. Red or black would look best I think.

To fit the bill for all regions it would be better to have a Zip out Liner Vest that can also be embroided with the logo.
During a spring night drive when it is mild but wet i will still use it without the liner, the guys in QLD and WA will likely never use it with the liner in.
The outer coat should be fully water proof with a Hood that tucks away for sure.
Something like this

but yeah , waterproof jackets with removable linings are probably a better idea than bomber jackets..... sorry
as long as you can still wear the lining as a vest/body warmer though.

Hey guys, reading the description for both jackets it looks like the bottom would suit our needs better.
The bottom on looks very similar to my DriRider jacket. It is listed to have "Hand Warmer Pockets" in the front meaning fleece lined. Nice.
For style the top link is nicer but i am not sure about whether it has a removable liner in it but once we are clearer a call to them would be able to sort it all out.

OK its Time to decide
I've had a good read of this thread & some great coats/jackets have been put forward & now its time to decide on what?
So I'd like you to put forward your "TOP" three choices & after that we will put it to a poll so we can find a winner.
Im happy to entertain two styles for both male & female but we can discuss more later.
So post up your pic of the bunch & we can get this underway.

Sorry people, I've been flat out at work and haven't had my 2c worth..... so here it is.....
We need something practical that will keep us dry when we're changing a tyre, or helping get a mate out of the nure in the rain. It also needs to be smart enough to wear for semi-formal and casual occasions.
More importantly, it needs to be able to hide the average stain from red dirt, and the 'odd' occasion that you miss your mouth and your drink or food spills onto your jacket.
Because we come from various parts of Australia, the inner lining needs to be able to be unzipped and converted to a vest. There will be times when a jacket becomes too hot, but a vest will be perfect to keep us toasty and promote the club.
As most of us have a 'home base' 4wd club, I suggest that we have the jacket embossed with the NP logo and leave enough room so that our home based 4wd club's logo will fit on the jacket somewhere.
I'm happy to go with the flow on this one, and offer my vote when it's decided what's on offer.

RosscoRoosco, you put this so eloquently. I agree with everything you said here and insist it is impervious to red wine stains. Other than that, I am happy for anything that fits the bill, so long as it's not up to Patch to select teh colour, or we know it'll be Pink........LMAO

Hiall. I just had a visit to a Promo Wear place near my office who does this sort of stuff. Look at the link below. The prices seem reasonable and I have tried on one of teh vests and jackets. Wel made, and the vest has sleeves that zip off. I would be interested in what everyone thinks. The Squeeze Range as shown is Uni-sex (whatever that means) and no, Patch, I did not choose it for the name. It is actually 2 items, being teh vest with zip-off sleeves and the Oxford Jacket that goes over the top. The Vest has a hidden hood as well as the jacket.

My choices
I like this one best... in 'Navy, or Black'. You'll see the beer/ spirits/wine/beetroot stains on the yellow too easily. lol
I love the pockets - plenty of them, and enough room on the each of the top pockets to put the NP and your 'home club' logo
http://www.boostup.com.au/item.php?id=8
BUT, you need to order 120 pieces.

Mmmmmm what to do,
The ladies would like something that looks good and looks good on them and that is really important.
Blokes like me want something that will keep us warm (for me, lower back as well), and handle the conditions while off road. Doing that and not showing the dirt real bad. I intend to wear it camping / 4WDing.
Some may be more into a stylish option for BBQ's or Footy or whatever.
I put my hand up for the latest jacket here as this could go on forever, only due to the overwhelming options.
Didn't realise how competitive online selling of clothing is.
Im easy, if a compromise can be found that appeals to all I'm in.
I'm new here so will go with the flow, and happy to wait till it is going in the same direction :groupwave:

Black or blue (for the boys) ... not red, green, teal, lilac, lavender, pink, purple, orange or any other colour that gets completely filthy on the first day of camping ...
Just my thoughts - as those who have been out with me know I have a tendency to roll around in the dirt!!! lol

I thought that you guys chose a vest / jacket style one like Kris's one above...I have no idea what has been going on in that thread?
Would everyone prefer this jacket that Kris just put up???
Was this the one that the majority chose????
I can start this thread again if need be....

I believe it was a choice between the one chris just put up and the other and the girls picked another coz they didn't like the one chris just put up......... I thought the general consensus was the other coz the girls liked it too.......... Please correct me if that was not the case
Edit: sorry I'm on Crappa Tappa so can't see post numbers

I'll see if there is no minimum order on both jackets.
I have to take all of the jackets to an embroidery shop anyway so if anyone is not happy with either style then you can also send me any other jacket in the post to get stitched at the same time too.
Put your votes in anyway, I'll make some calls this week and we might be able to order both

You and clunk are right, Snicko. Us girls didn't like the boost , therefore went the red one.( although expensive) BUT, if the red is too hard, maybe the women's nitro ? I still prefer the red one !!
