Gidday,

Brought an 88 GQ TB42 ute as a project, loved it (still in the project phase) so I brought a 2000 GU wagon. I heard they have a few problems hence the title but bit the bullet and brought it so after any and all advice.

Hopefully no question is a stupid one cause I have alot to ask.

I reckon there would be plenty of knowledgeable people out there to give me a hand.

Look forward to a bit of banter and plenty of ideas.

Cheers Jason

Cheers Guys.

First question of many. Where is the best place to put a roof box...front or back or is it personal preference.

Look at 1200Lx400Wx310H roughly.

Cheers

G’day Jason, Welcome Aboard Mate!
Not sure what the best specific thread to post your query up should be so all can see and help better than here on the Introductions area?
FWIW:
All of our beloved Patrol variants do have legal total roof maximum weights and furthermore front/rear axle loading weights too.
Add on a trailer/caravan/camper and there’s some tow ball weight to equate too.
Add on a bullbar/winch and there’s some front axle loading to consider as well.
Safety wise I do like to keep lighter weight fluffy stuff up top wherever possible and keep the heavier tools/water/fuel down below for less rollover potential too.
