GQ Steel bar behind quater pannel in the way of Snorkel

So I am unable to find any pictures of other snorkel installs with this in the way, has anyone seen this before and do I just cut through it as well?

Hack away brother. I seriously doubt it will be missed. Just remember. Measure twice, cut once.

When I installed mine last year I just cut through it. No damage has occurred in that area.

I assume you are trying to fit a larger snork through that same hole yeah? I cut slits arounf in and bent the tabs to make it bigger. There is not much room to work there. Cold chistle is your friend.

Thanks for the quick replies.
Planing to use some scraps of 3" stainless I have laying around which will fit through the hole no problem once I hack that bar out of the way.

No probs. I went 4" through there on my GUIV. It will fit mate.
