Well took the bus for a wheel align on saturday tyres were chewing out on the outside of both tyres
2 degrees i was told it was out, i asked to have the steering damper turned around end for end
as it was put in backwards not by me i paid a pro to do that ,lol.
all that done i went to drive off and a loud clunk (sorry Adrian not you ) hahahaha
in the front end as i turned to leave tthe car park
i got the lads who did the alighn
andamper to have a look , after about 20 minutes i was told it was my steering box and i needed to go to Nissan as its still got 4 years of warrenty left
I went and had the Nissan lads have a look, my panard rod was only just hanging on , worked lose
and to top it off the left hand steering stop bolt on the the knuckle was missing , a very common problem with the G U and the G Q i am told ,
this i am told can cause over steer to a dangerous level ,
with a little speed and turning sharply the vehicle can spin im told , not a good thing to happen
anyroad just wanted to put this up and maybe anyone who`s mechincally minded could give me their input please .
i left the workshop with a little concern as my wife drives this vehicle with our granchildren frequently
