TB42 EFI Dual Fuel Airbox Replacement?

Hi all, The air box on the GQ patrol has been blown to pieces due to backfiring from running on gas, is it worth making a new steel air box, buying a steel air box, or just replacing it with another factory plastic one? (don't want it to blow to pieces again). Thanks!

Its shouldn't be backfiring, so fix that issue and just get another original air box I think.

It currently doesn't backfire, it was years ago that it backfired really bad.
