Hi Guys
Have pretty much decided on Y62 Ti and Van combination for round Oz tour for a family of 3 and 1 dog. Looking at keeping van weight to approx. 2.5t. Im new to heavy towing and would appreciate any advice of tow bars, WDH, Air bags, stabiliser, brake controllers etc. Also best places to get this all fitted. seems contradicting advice especially on WDH. Some say they are great and so say don't touch them. Our tour is predominately road not looking at doing load of of road stuff.

We are based in Bathurst NSW if that helps.
TIA
Mark

Check out RV daily on YouTube, they have a whole bunch of videos on towing.

Awesome choice mate, a tug weapon heavy Y62 I do wish for also and will afford one day too hopefully:-)
Have lugged around on our lovely shared bouncy Aussie roads some 2.5T boxes on Y60’s and foolishly (illegally) up and beyond 4.0+T behind Y61’s in silly bygone younger days.
Please don’t take this as gospel but I’ve always found between 5% & 15% of total trailer weight on my Patrols arse ends (towball weight) seems to be bearable out there.
Currently bouncing my way through NSW with 2540Kg (Y60 - 40kg over :-( and find 200kg on the ball is spot on [emoji106][emoji106]
Moral of the story, best thing I ever stole/borrowed off a mate was his towball scale thingymebob:-)
