Found a link for this Diesel Chip for the 3.0 Patrols, have heard the chips are supposed to be pretty good and are fully plug and play for the early 3.0 motors.
Price is abit cheaper than some of the other brands as well
3 year warranty and figures look impressive, thought I might give one a go when I get some cash again..
Anyone else heard of them, look pretty interesting

OK guys, installed and what a difference.
Acceleration increase is what I've noticed mainly at this stage (haven't got to drive it intensively yet).
Took me 25mins to fit and bought it from here: chipexpress.com/products/1600/
Might look at turning it up slightly, but has made a significant performance increase so far.
I paid (including postage to 6180):
From amount $667.11 AUD
To amount £425.00 GBP
Exchange rate: 1 AUD = 0.637076 GBP
The email I got from them was:
thanks for your email.
Yes this is the plug-in (pre-common rail) electronic injection pump system you require for you Australian Patrol: chipexpress.com/products/1600/
You can order online using the above link, delivery to AU takes 10 days.
Kind regards,
Peter @ ChipExpress.com
So up to you guys!
I should've taken photo's for ya's sorry. Might get a couple from under the hood!?

Definitely worth the money i reckon.
Turned the settings up slightly and no noticible change, so turned it back and very happy with that.
The chip has given more "pull", take off and the acceleration seems to big the biggest impact.
Also I notice that the revs are now at 3000RPM doing 110kmh instead of 3300RPM. I'd say either better fuel economy or my rev gauge is playing up lol.
Hope this info helps. The guys at Chip Express have very good communication and it was approx 10 days in the post from the UK.
Also you can pay via Paypal.

No problems at all.
My wife drove the 4x4 to work today and is very happy with it - no hiccups at all.
We have a 2001 GU TD 3.0L Wagon.
The reason I bought it was that someone on another fourm somewhere bought one from these guys and was very happy also. And yeh the price got me to lol.
All the best!

How does it go if you have a dawes and needle set up instead of computer controled turbo? or make no difference? I was planning on getting the dawes and needle setup after tax check with pyro guage and other anti grenade items

Do you think the model patrol they refer to as dCi (118kw and 380nm) is the CRD model??? It has teh same power and torque figure
Cheers

Agree with big_fletch.
They emailed me today asking if I was happy with the product and if I needed any help etc to contact them.
I guess the after sales service is good too!?
Anyhow the unit we bought is still going very well, hasn't been too long, just thought I'd let you guys know.

It would be good to do a dyno on these chips with a before and after, I wonder if it would match their claim of power increase?
I have a dtronic which certainly made a difference but again I'm not sure how much.
I would like a tuneable chip, with a cc intercooler and a 3" exhaust I reckon there'd be a bit more punch!
Cheers
Wayne.

I have a mate in town here with a full dyno setup, might get my troll tested, then after an exhaust, and then after exhaust and chip.. Be interesting to see the results

I already posted! lol.
Either way, my wife and I are very happy with it so far. I really cant give you guys anymore "tech" details as I don't run the pyro gauge etc yet.
Haven't noticed much difference with fuel economy, but a big difference in acceleration/power.
Hope this helps a little bit!?

Ok just got back from a trip to Kalbarri. Got 800kms per tank of diesel with a roofrack half loaded and 5 people in the car.
Plenty of power, no over heating and good fuel economy. Also the chip didn't fail once.

I have been running this chip for 5 months now and I'm extremely happy with its performance. The vehicle is 2009 ST CRD auto wagon. With the setting at default the fuel economy is the same as standard but so much more punch now its awesome. It really makes you wonder how much "fat" is in the factory electronics.
Sorry I didnt get any comparison figures but the good thing about this unit is if you want to return to factory settings (servicing etc.) you just remove the blade fuse and it just runs as per factory.
There are 3 settings either side of default - 3 for power and 3 for economy. I have used the next power setting once for a muddy day out but am happy with leaving it at default. Very simple to adjust also by moving a small plastic piece to the next set of pegs to complete a circuit.
