The pipe elbow to the turbo
Inlet on my 2008 CRD zd30 has cracked ang I’m looking at replacement options. Genuine elbow $395 no hope. While I can get after market elbows for less then half the price I’m also looking at a full silicon air box to tubo hose that deletes the resonator box. Any one fitted one of these and what effect did it have. I know on some vehicles that the resonator box smooths out the air flow and I some cases can actually decrease the flow because of the messy flow this causes. If you have done one and can offer some advice I’d very much appreciate it.

do you mean the hard metal elbow that bolts to the turbo inlet . if so , there is a larger aftermarket one available and the same mob also do replacement parts right back to the airbox . i can not remember who at the moment . i will post again if i do . i found it . fabwitz . i also found youtube video that might be helpful . No I have a choice of replacing with same but I’m wanting to go a silicon hi flow and that means the resonator box goes which is what I’m interested in. Weather it creates any issues not having it.

i got the hoses from this site
https://www.forefrontindustries.com.au/
had them on for 18 months no dramas good stuff and heaps cheap compared to genuine
for about $200-$300 you get all aftermarket hoses from the airbox-turbo, turbo-cooler and cooler-manifold
pro is the metal pipe is threaded to easily fit a boost hose but you dont need to if you dont want.
