his months topic was chosen by the May '20 winner Winnie

Home Town

I think this months topic is really original and i hope everyone gets involved. I am proud of my home town, was born in McLaren Vale and grew up in Reynella and both have rich history in the establishment of the wine industry in SA, that may partially explain my alcohol reliance. I have great memories of growing up in my neighborhood and will go out and take some photos to try and capture it. I hope others have similar memories that they can draw on and share with us in photos. Great choice for a topic Winnie.

Remember to follow the rules shown in pink below.

Regards
TPC

Pics of my original home town are pretty thin on the ground. This is the only one I can find on my computer. I lived there until my late teens, & my extended family still all live there in England. This is me with my dad back in 2011.

Entry #1
Effen Holland

I'm not being disparaging, but I really come from Effen Holland.
Actually the correct term is Effen Netherlands, Holland is a province of the Netherlands.
Unfortunatly this picture isn't taken by me as I couldn't get the town name in the one I took, the other pictures are taken by me.

Entry #2
Family Home - Effen Holland

Here is where I spent the first six years of my life before we migrated to Australia. The place is now a driving school.
Having been back for a visit exactly sixteen years ago, it's still the best move the family ever made.

Entry #3
City Scene - Breda Holland

Effen was like a rural suburb about 4km from the city of Breda.
Here's a picture of the historic church, opened in 1547. The building was amazing considering it was built nearly 500 years ago without modern technology or machinery.

Hmmm, nice but think mine is heaps cooler. At least you can see the "home town" in mine, yours is obscured by unsightly cloud. . .

Psychologically, sometimes home needs to be wherever one hangs their hat, scruntch it up soaking wet and move onto sunnier days ahead chasing tucker coin :-)

In the same vein as MB above, this has been 'home' for us in a variety of locations for the past few years.

I would but my home town is nothing more than a boring old shit stain. Nothing even worthy of wasting your time taking a pic of.
