Just doing a brake pad change on the old GQ and the front drivers caliper slide, the top one, is seazed. I've tried everything I can do to get it off or free it up. Any hints or tips?

A small mix of brake fluid and acetone apparently is a superb penetrant ... Leave it over night and try again ...

Other than that not sure mate ..

Ended up getting it. Just kept pressure on it and kept smacking it with a hammer..... A fkn big one. So finally replaced the rear discs and front pads but now the peddle is soft and host to the floor. I'll have to bleed it tomorrow by the sounds of it. Good to note that the EFI petrol came with twin piston calipers on the front.

If you replaced the front pads but not the discs there may have been a lip on the discs that is stopping the pads getting full contact, in which case the pads will take a bit longer to bed in to the shape of the disc. Did you check all the calliper slides to make sure they were moving freely?

Yeah, callipers are now sliding freely greased them up with lithium grease. The discs are fine, no lip and almost full size when i ran the verniers over them. A little silicone spray might have got on the pad or disc last night as the brakes are fine now.
