Hi, I have a 2008 Gu wagon zd30 patrol. Previously I had a starting issue which I was advised to replace fuel pressure relief valve. During this process I changed primer bulb(delphi), fuel filter(ryco) and FPRV(bosch). Now the car starts fine but when I took it for a drive as I hit 3500 revs it cuts out and stalls. Thought I may have an air bubble/lock so bled fuel through fuel filter and no bubbles. Car still starts on first go and idles but just not drivable. Did I miss something such as a reset, fuel bleed? There is no signs of fuel leak. Any help appreciated thanks.

At a guess auction control valve on the pump. Assuming it’s a common rail zd30?
Also as a side note the zd30 common rail are fussy and seem to only like genuine stuff in my experience non gen fuel filter seem to always have issues for me and the workshop I work in.. the Bosch fprv is fine cause that is what factory uses anyway.. the primer bulb can’t be effecting the running unless it’s fitted wrong way round.

I just stumbled across this vid. The guy sounds like he had the same drama as you after replacing the relief valve and how he fixed it

A bit more research, there is a higher spec relief valve also available
