Hi all, I have a 2003 ZD30 DI, cut's out just when ya passing a road train or whatever when pushing it.
Had some dude look at it and he said fault code 31ECM2, suggested I take it to an auto elec.
Has anyone had this happen and what was the cure?, I'm think'n throttle sensor?? cheers , The Ferret

Translated from some Russian site on RZD30 Repairs and Diagnostics
http://www.zd30.ru/

hope it helps you out

Code: 0301
Signal: Block ECCS (main unit)
When a fault code appears: Malfunction in the unit ECCS. As well as ripple voltage on-board network
Lamp condition engine (CHECK): Flashes
Place of inspection: Block ECCS. Regulator charge the battery, terminals

Ha, Might be a dumb question, but what's the ECCS?
And even more dumb, dirty terminals or bad earth from body to engine?

Mate, this is the only thing I could find on the net in regards 2 ECCS.

Electronic Concentrated Control System (ECCS), or Electronic Gas Injector (EGI), is an electronic fuel injection (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel_injection) system designed to improve fuel economy and to reduce exhaust emission

P.s: no such thing as a dumb question, only dumb answers *L*

Hi,

I had this problem and it turned out to be bad earth on the inlet manifold so clean up the earths on there and see how you go. You might also need to disconnect the battery to clear the error.
