Hi all,
Have a quick question about my aircon. 2009 ST 3.0. Aircon was working great then next time I went to use it, it was only blowing hot air. Figured it must have a gas leak so took it to a local re-gasser for a fill up.
Was out the back for 2 minutes before being driven out the front by the boss. “I’ll show you the problem” he says. Seems his “Nissan Expert” out the back says one of the pipes is attached to a non Nissan bracket which has damaged the pipe and they can’t help me.
The bracket in question is on the top left hand side of the motor and has a small clip that attaches to the pipe. A bit of googling found that this was in fact a genuine Nissan part and on closer inspection the pipe seems ok.
Main issue I’ve noticed is that it seems that the compressor doesn’t switch on when the aircon is started. Is this normal if it’s out of gas or do I have a connection/fuse/relay issue? I’ve checked fuses and they are all ok.
Any suggestions would be appreciated before I take it to a professional. Sorry for the long story for a quick question.
