Righto today I decided to give Hippo a wash down, considering my lazy arse I did a rather thorough job at it lol the idea was to give it a clean and stand back and admire my handy work and a shiny truck.
Instead...... this is the reality of my handy work
Once finished I stood back to see more character building dents
scratches from here to Africa
more paint chips
Bent up side steps, on both sides!
A nicely cracked indicator
And finally a tyre flare starting to come off.
Starting to think I'm worse off than when I started, maybe Hippo should just stay dirty from now on! LMAO
Secondly I'm not sure if I had more mud on the inside than I did on the out, Am I doing something wrong or am I just driving a Nissan the way it was born to drive, Foot down and worry about sh!tting your pants later? ROFL

Who else has had the same thing happen?
Cheers Brett

Haha, I made the same mistake today. Went to do a bit of maintenance and a good clean underneath and inside. Both front mudflaps were just hanging on, left rear indicator missing a screw and loose. Both sidesteps bent(time for a set of decent sliders), flare scratched, one exhaust mount cracked . But got rid of the vibration that was giving me the shits so that's one positive I suppose

The only washing mine use 2 get was when I could drive through our local river, and then i would usually end up with more mud on it....... and inside it.....on the way back out, but don't tell anyone as in the next few days my rig might just appear up 4 sale saying something like: clean, tidy, never been off road........ *LMAO*

After a trip to Levuka 4WD park in my first GU I washed it and found the mud had eaten into the paintwork, needed a cut and polish to get the marks out. Levuka is a working cattle property and I suspect there may have been a high concentration of cattle pee in one of the mud holes, best explanation I could come up with?

I have the same issue with my work ute. I drive to the mill through the forestry and the paint is ruined. cant be cut back any more it'll take it back to primer.
