Licola 2020 Snow Trip - 10 year anniversary - 7th August

Hi folks,

We are booked in to the Licola Wilderness Village from Friday 7th August to Monday the 10th August this year.

It's the only time we have the entire place to ourselves and have booked cabins 1 to 5 right next to the main camp kitchen.

I need to get numbers down please ASAP so I can book it in with them so can you please vote above.

We stay in cabins 2, 3 and 4 bedroom cabins with double beds, bunk beds, etc.

Each cabin has toilets and showers, etc. Some have fridges and a huge dedicated cabin with all the appliances and cutlery to suit hundreds of people, tables and chairs, etc and a huge fire pit for us to enjoy!

Would love to see some more interstaters too, we always have an awesome trip so come along.

This is a very family orientated trip, kids are more than welcome and usual there are dozens of kids coming, they LOVE IT!

There are playgrounds, trampolines, etc at the facility.

Yeah I’m sure that’s fine mate. For some reason it’s changed this year and they wanted numbers to calculate the deposit.

Let’s keep bumping this and I’ll add some numbers to it in a week or so and let them know.

I'd have to get there early though. As I assume they would leave by a reasonable time in the morning. She doesn't want to go though, as they are doing rafting and she's not real keen on getting in that cold river water.

Yes 70mm2 welding cable. Its going to eat that application for sure, no problem. The duty rating of the cable should be on the outer sheath, and you can buy it by the meter. I have my jumper leads made from 70mm, 8m long, big and chunky.

What, like social distancing at shopping centres or stores like Aldi running a 'special buys' event? Maybe we all have to walk around with a 'hoola hoop' duct taped to our person or buy Michelin man suits. I think the numbers may drop down a little just with the lingering 'fear and paranoia' so reckon it would be OK.

Actually more an issue with the shared cooking shed I reckon and unsure how they assess the cabins re toilet and shower facilities - I guess they are restricted to the specific group using them, might pay to call and ask?

By August if going well we’ll be following other states with minimum 50 people and I’m sure we’ll be fine.

Mia and the other girls are frothing for this trip, it’s been a long time for all of us to get together so we’ll make it happen!

Bloody hell. I think I'll be attending with no winch, and a pressure pack undercoat job. ARB are taking their time getting the parts to me and I still have to weld on the aerial tags, then get it sandblasted and powdercoated. Plus wire it in. I'll be cutting it fine.

Yeah I rang them today. They have everything apart from one aerial mount. Not sure how or why but I was told they had to make them, so why not make two at a time, not one.
They are a great and reputable company but when I applied for a job there a few years back and went in for an interview and a walk around to meet everyone I did notice things worked a little different there. Plus their pay offer was less than desirable. more of an insult than anything...
