GQ Barra conversion auto

Gday all
Im doing a barra conversion on my GQ and it has an auto in it.
Does anyone on here know of anyone that has daone this kind of conversion before?
Ive been told that the GQ converter will not have enough grunt to handle the barra. Has anyone done this before and had any problems?
