2005 DI leak

Hi all, looking for a pointer before I go full on Sherlock Holmes at the weekend.
I've got a decent leak in the engine bay but from a quick look I can't see where it comes from.
It's welling at the front left corner of the inside of the bumper and dripping down to the road from there. It's clean yellow oil, not black engine oil.
I've not been able to get under it to clean off and watch it form as that's a job for the weekend when I'm off work, but wondered if there is a common leak that I should be looking for when I do get under there?

Temps are good although ambient temps here are less than 10c at the moment. Not seeing any drop in levels anywhere but it's obviously coming from somewhere!
The fluid is viscous oil rather than watery.

Well I think I've found the leak source, and it appears to be the hose for what I think is the oil cooler. Is this right?
Am I right in thinking this is fed from the small reservoir with the clip cap as pictured?

Is it a case of replacing the entire hose or is there an alternative solution?

Can anyone tell me what type of oil I should top up with?

Ok, schoolboy error, that's the steering fluid reservoir!

Follow those hoses mate and see where they lead too. If its from the power steering, the reservoir should be quite empty then. If it is, top it up with auto trans fluid. DexIII usually.

After a lot of trawling through old posts both here and elsewhere I thought I'd try the Lucas power steering leak stop route before I go replacing hardware.
Not the easiest product to find over here, but persistence paid off and I was able to find some yesterday.
Siphoned out as much of the original fluid as I could, then refilled the reservoir with the Lucas fluid. Been for a few long drives and so far no leak, whereas it was near flowing out after I parked up previously. So far, so good!

Over a week later and not a drop leaked out, and steering is still silky smooth. Highly recommend the Lucas product.
