I've done a bit of a cheeky today and gone and disconnected the pipe from the cat just under the passenger seat on my TB42e.
I like the sound, and that's all I've done it for, but I'm wondering if I leave it like that will I regret it.
Am I harming my power or fuel efficiency?
Will it suck up water?
Are the fumes gonna do any damage?

Will it suck up water? highly possible if you are submerged and you stall the motor
Are the fumes gonna do any damage?Only to your lungs.
Its also illegal, AFAIK, all exhaust exit points must be behind the rear wheels. Or something like that.

Won't damage the Car, won't help the Planet, will damage your brain which is why lots of people choose to kill themselves that way as Carbon Monoxide is a) odourless and b) painless

Yeah the sounds nice but in the interest of not smoking myself out I reckon I'll screw it back in.

Who else on the planet likes the sound. if its a TD just go straight to the back
no muffler. Personally I dont like the sound eh but each to their own.
mudski its must exit behind any opening window so a Patrol wagon must
out the back, keeps fume there as well
Do a given drive to check your fuel figures
then repeat with the system mods.
Going to a 3" system with a racing cat should see a power gain
EDIT,,,,Besides being illegal so much noise will attract any
police officer within a 10mile range

Yeah I love the sound wheel of my Garret spooling up. When I do drive my Patrol, it’s usually with the radio off and the lhr pax window open. Those sweet sounds of the Garret whistling away is better than any music.
