transfer case leaking Seal ?

My GU series ii is leaking oil out the back trough the hand brake .. how hard is it to change the seal ? I presume its remove tail shaft . a big nut remove hand brake assy and dig out the seal. . Any thing to watch out for . thanks to all .

Hey mate, TBH never done it on a Patrol but many times on an old 40 series lol. Wasn't anything too difficult on them (from memory long time ago lol), and can't imagine the GU would be too much different. Yeah tail shaft off, remove big nut then drum should come off fairly easily then hopefully get ti seal without too much more hopefully . . .
