Hi All,
Time to pick your brains.
Will a gearbox out of a 95 Maverick Petrol fit into a 97 Nissan Diseasal, just got my 97 Troll and the Cluster Bearing and Clutch are as noisy as.
A mates got a Fraud Maverick wrecked with a good gearbox, would like to do a quick change then rebuild the box

From what I understand the TB42 5spd will fit behind a TD42 with a bell housing change & & as far as I know the clutches are the same but I have not done the job myself & the inffo im posting is only what I've read.
We have our resident Mechanical technician who would be able to get you on the right track & correct anything I've post if needed.

TB42 and TD42 use the same gearbox but the bell housings are different. Bell housings can be easily swapped over. If your '97 diesel is a RD28 then the gearboxes are different and not interchangable.

Thanks Guys,
My '97 motor is a TD42 so it should be all good, although having read some stuff here about getting the gearbox out I can't say as I'm looking forward to doing this job.
