Well. Today I have vacuumed my baby out and given her a good clean...Inside only.
Man Oh Man..I found my old hand held compass. A real one, not a digital one. One with a needle and all. Still works too. Dam good feeling that.
Also found the usual mandatory bits: Money, Corona stubby twist lock top.
And then there was the unusual finds: Lid to lip stick, why is that there? Sheet music to a Greenday song.

So this little event prompts the question, what have you found in your car on cleaning day?

When I bought the GQ, that night I went through the whole car and under the sun visor was about 20 Anzac pins. the previous owner must have been buying them every single year he had the car so I will keep the legacy going now and buy one each year and pin it up there too...lol

When I got my second car (Skyline silhouette GTS) the drivers seat would only move forward and back a few centimetres. I pulled the seat out and removed about $10 worth of $1 and $2 coins from the seats runners. The seat got it's full range of movement back and I was $10 better off, happy days.

I used to love stripping out scrap cars, rear seat out, carpet out, shrapnel collecting begins. Smash heater, more shrapnel. Smash console carpet out and under front seats, more shrapnel.

Buy lunch with findings sometimes.

Haven't found anything as such, but I know that a new buyer of an old GU found 6 CD's in the stacker, about $30 in change in the centre console, along with a variety of pens, pen knives, sunglasses, air freshener, can of aeroguard, and other assorted goodies ... These were all the things I left in it after a private sale, and the bloke rang to tell me and dropped it all back to me the next day!!! Top lad!!!

Lucky there was nothing 'incriminating' in there!!!!! lmao

More like he didn't appreciate quality tunes from bands like disturbed, alter bridge, sevendust, cold, etc ... lol ...

Although I still do get the 'involuntary' hand movements going when "wake me up before you go go" starts wailing from the speakers!!! lmfao

Hi all,
When I bought my current GQ wagon there was only 2 front seats and the carpets, so decided to strip that out also to check floor for rust. Ended up finding about $50 in change, 40-50 LIVE .22 rounds, 2 VERY VERY OLD 410 SHOTGUN ROUNDS, WERE MADE OF CARDBOARD AND HAD STARTED TO SWEAT AND PERRISH, they were in the ashtray, also various other types and calibers of live and fired ammo. All up there was approx 100 cartridges in GQ, also the usual stuff, old pens, screws, old tools and heaps of rubbish.

My mate used to work at a car importer in NZ, they found so much Japanese money and car audio/electronics that it became a pain cleaning the cars our for licensing etc.

My brother inlaw details cars and has found everything you could imagine. He was cleaning one of the mafias cars a few years back and found 10k under the seat. He picked it up, vacuumed and put it straight back. Haha.

He thought it may had been a test as the guy was regular customer after that for ages and he kept finding bundles of cash and other assortments.
