Hi guys,

New to the forum, I was a keen fourby in a previous life owning a landcruiser 60 and a string of land rovers. I am now looking at buying a Nissan Patrol, my preference being for a GU IV with the 4.2 turbo diesel.

I have inspected three of them so far but all were covered in surface rust, some of the rust spots already showing on the body panels, very disappointing!

Don't you people know that before you take your truck to the beach you should fish oil it or at least spray some lanolin before you go to the beach AND give it a good pressure wash when you come home?

Anyway, hope to find one soon and we will see you on the tracks.

Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the reminder to wash my truck down. Went to the beach on my days off and it's been raining at home ever since - except for right now, so I'll wash my truck with at least a hose down.
