Have a problem when driving at higher speeds. I lose all drive power its like the revs just wont go any higher. Have to pull over and shut it off for a few minutes then it goes ok for a bit then starts all over again. Any help would be great.

Check the choke is winding off correctly - i ended up winding mine all the way out.

Also it's possible the carb is 'icing'. Unsure where you are, but if it's more prevalent at colder speeds - I found my secondary was icing shut and I'd have to shut it off a few minutes while she warmed back up.

Some fine sandpaper on the inside of the carb, the butterflies etc fixed mine right up.

Could I get some more info about checking the choke please. I’m having a problem very similar and want to check it out but don’t know where to look. Cheers

Welcome to the forum. If it not dual fuel All I can suggest is to take the cover off the air cleaner. Start and run the engine until it warms up. Rev it a bit and see if the if the choke butterfly is across the throat. If it isn't then the choke is working. If it is, then one likely culprit is the heated return spring or the choke break diaphragm is split, holed or the vacuum tube is blocked, split or not connected.

I got sick of the auto choke, years ago, so I ripped it out and fitted a manual choke cable.
