Hey all,

I hot wired my td42 fuel cut but cant find a suitable wire to use from the tb42e loom. I have found some wires that are supposedly hot in 'on' and 'start' but they dont seem to be enought grunt to switch the solenoid. Any advice from people who may have done this swap?

Use the wires you found to run a relay.

Have you tested them or just assuming? Can't imagine the solenoid would draw much at all, mine is a conversion fromTB and used a wire from the carby somewhere, is a small wire but works fine. .

Yeah I tested them, found a wire that was near the injector wires for the tb42 that was outputting 12V when on and start but wasnt enough to switch the solenoid. Ended up using a wire from the coil on the otherside of the engine bay.
