Odometer stopped working

Hey all
Just thought I would share something with you. About a month ago my odometer quit turning over and counting the k's. I somehow managed to get it working by pressing the trip button in a few times very fast. Touch wood, my odometer is perfect again. Dunno, it worked for me😉🤣

Mine has been on and off now for a while, not really an issue as I never plan to part with it, but still annoying for fuel calculations.

From what I've read, there are plastic gears that wear in there over time.

Instrumentation technician should be able to repair quite easily though.

Also, apparently reseting the trip meter while the car is running is the main culprit for the odometer gears breaking.
