Hi all, I'm new to the forum, thanks for adding me.

I am owning my third Nissan Patrol:

my first was a manual '97 GU 2.8 6 cylinder diesel,
my second was an automatic 2011 GU 3.0 4 cylinder CRD,
my current ride is a manual 'high roof' '90 GQ Patrol TD42,

THE BRICK (Big Red Rig),
the best of them all... :-)

I love the truck, it is simple, no electronics, no turbo.

It has only done 170K and she's a well maintained beauty.

She's all setup with long term 4x4 touring and camping gear.

Planning to do the Simpson this year, going west via the Madigan and returning back east via the French.

I found some useful information on this forum and I hope to be able to contribute myself.

Both the tent and awning are from AluCab, a South African brand.

Not cheap, but very good quality, I'm very happy with it.

It takes me 10 seconds to open the tent, and 30 seconds to deploy the awning.
