Confusing fuel lines ?

I haven't had the time to have another look but I traced my fuel line back to the fuel filter and it was smaller then my return wtf has some one put them around the wrong way around are the patrols differant to everything else

I haven't had the time to have another look but I traced my fuel line back to the fuel filter and it was smaller then my return wtf has some one put them around the wrong way around are the patrols differant to everything else

Return lines are not under as much pressure and are typically larger in diameter than the supply.
