I have had MQ diesels (3.3 shorties) and couldn't kill them. No in a petrol 92 GQ duel fuel but again great vehicles until computerisation to over. Give me old school any day.

Hey!! .... Picked up Patrol 1985MK late this afternoon. Met the owner, a true blue 94 year old. All he really wanted was to know that the old girl was going to a good home. What a lesson with all the little tricks. Secret theft /immobilizer alarm, control for electric brakes re towing, etc etc. Then he gave me FULL workshop manual plus receipt for significant work and service done in 2018...whoa!!! Its a little shock to the system wrt manual locks, manual windup windows and zero computer stuff..I realized how lazy I had become. BUT this is now my project .
Arranging a a detailing to get some small paint defects done then a few days at a mechanic of universal great repute with budget of a few $thousand if needed.
Yes I know some will say over capitalized but whatthehey eh? I figure if I can keep total cost below 6-7 thousand Ive done well.
Will try to get some piccies up soon.
Thanks for support all!
