Hey fellas,
Has anyone used one of these kits to remove their egr?
https://hpdiesel.com.au/nissan-patrol-td42-egr-delete-kit.html
Iv got mine blocked off at the moment but would like it gone all together. Would like to know if anyone has used this kit and once installed are the vacuum lines able to be removed once complete?
Can anyone see any issues with the kit or anything else that may be required? Just don’t want to start it and get stuck half way.
Cheers

I put one from performance4x4 on mine when I put my late model GU motor in my GQ, looks very similar, was very straight forward, came with everything I needed including little caps for the vacuum ports

I have the same kit I bought from Patrolapart .

https://patrolapart.com.au/product/nissan-patrol-gu-y61-td42ti-hpd-egr-removal-kit

Its been sitting on the to-be-fitted pile since December.

Looks pretty straight forward to fit. Getting the pipe out from behind the motor is the tricky bit.
If you own a sabre saw , cut it up in-situ and pull it out in pieces.

Also, if coolant blanking plate is not a similar thickness to the barb flange that comes off the block you will need to shorten the bolts or put the plate under the barb and bolt it back on.

Not long ago fitted an out the front Intercooler the kit came with the egr block off stuff .
The only problem I had was getting the little plate in the Exhaust manifold . its a long way up from under the truck ! I stuck it onto a bit of wood with some Putty stuff then put the bolts in .
The pipe that goes behind I got out was a bit tricky but came out in one piece .
I was glad to get rid of the top mount intercooler and the EGR its so much easier to service the engine without all the crap in the way . and bonus 150 kms out of a load of fuel .

Purchased the kit yesterday so will wait for it to turn up and put it in.
Looking forward to the extra room when servicing
